The 8mm size handles the short, high-pressure runs in an AC circuit — compressor discharge and pressure switch connections — where every gram of hose weight and every degree of routing flexibility affect how cleanly the line fits the engine bay. This Type E hose matches those runs with a slim 15.2mm OD and 155 g/m weight, the lightest build in the A-series.
Light weight does not mean a thinner safety margin: the PA inner liner, EPDM interlayer, PET braid, and EPDM cover hold 3.5MPa working pressure and 18MPa minimum burst, with R134a and R1234yf compatibility across -40°C to +135°C. The liner keeps permeation low even in R1234yf service.
